Livtron-5
Livtron-Levocetirizine (as levocetirizine dihydrochloride) is a third-generation, non-sedating antihistamine, developed from the second-generation antihistamine cetirizine. Chemically, levocetirizine is the active enantiomer of cetirizine. It is the L-enantiomer of the cetirizine racemate. Levocetirizine works by blocking histamine receptors. It does not prevent the actual release of histamine from mast cells, but it prevents histamine from binding to its receptors. This, in turn, prevents the release of other allergenic chemicals and increases blood flow to the affected area, providing relief from typical hay fever symptoms.
It is mainly used for hay fever and skin urticaria most effectively with orally disintegrating strips instead of the traditional method of medication.
